Welcome to Rustic Rugs. My love of hooking started in 1984 when my good friend and neighbor, Lynda Stout, discovered this "new craft." She was ordering a Puritan Frame and Frasier cuter and wanted to know if I wanted one too. I had no clue what I was getting into, but I said, "Yes!" Fortunately, all these years later, we are still great friends and love to hook together. We are still using our original frame and cutters. We were fortunate to be able to take lessons for several years from Margaret Hunt Masters. She was a true artist and a wonderful teacher. Lynda and I have had many great teachers at camps and workshops we have attended. All patterns from Rustic Rugs are hand printed on your choice of monks cloth or linen. They are printed on the backing straight and your satisfaction is guaranteed! Our goal is to make rug hooking fun and affordable. We also offer a large seletion of hand-dyed wool that is reasonably priced. Please give us a call if you have questions or want to know about our color selection of wool. We have moved to our new lodge, where we will have regular business hours. We are open on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of the month from 10am to 4:30pm. Please call before you come as hours may vary.We have regular hookins on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays. Hookins are $7 to attend and you may purchase a home-made lunch for $10 or bring a sack lunch. Please call to make a reservation. We look forward to seeing you at our new home!! Many happy hours of hooking to you . . . . Judy Cripps |
